July 23 marks the one-year anniversary of British singer Amy Winehouse’s death.
Winehouse’s father Mitch said family and friends will gather to remember her.
“There will be hundreds of people outside Amy’s house,” he said. “We’re going to spend time with Amy’s fans and then we’re going to her favourite jazz bar in London. We’re going to have a party there with family and friends and have a good time.”
Toronto fans can remember the singer at a special tribute Monday at 8 p.m. at the Orbit Room on College Street.
Five local singers will perform some of her greatest hits and proceeds from the event will go to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
