Toronto police identify first homicide victim of 2022

Toronto police have identified the first homicide victim of 2022.

Police say Ariyo Fakomi, 37, of Toronto, was found with gunshots wounds after police were called to the Weston Road and Highway 401 area on Sunday at around 5:51 p.m.

Fakomi was rushed to hospital where he later died.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been released by police.
