Man charged after girl sexually assaulted at Bloor-Yonge subway station

Toronto police have released a photo of a man accused of sexually assaulting a girl at a downtown subway station last week.

The suspect allegedly followed a girl under the age of 16 into Bloor-Yonge Station just before midnight Thursday, where she was sexually assaulted.

Police say the victim yelled for help, and multiple bystanders stopped the man from fleeing while they waited for police to arrive.

Elias Silver, 32, has been charged with sexual interference. Silver made a court appearance last Friday.

Police are asking anyone with information to give them or Crime Stoppers a call.
