TIMELINE: Shooting spree across three GTA regions ends in tragedy

An active shooter that shook the west end of the GTA Monday ended in tragedy with two lives lost, including a Toronto police officer, and three others injured.
The shooting spree spread out over three locations in Mississauga, Milton and Hamilton, ending when police shot and killed the suspect in a Hamilton cemetery.
Here is how the incident unfolded Monday:
2:15 p.m.: Peel Regional Police send out a tweet saying one person has been shot and taken to a trauma centre in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road in Mississauga. They were looking for a suspect driving a dark coloured vehicle. An hour later, police share two people have been shot in the incident.
3:25 p.m.: Halton Police say they have closed Bronte Street between King Street and Main Street in relation to a shooting investigation. No futher details are released about the shooting.
3:25 p.m. – 3:35 p.m.: Both Halton and Peel police say they are looking for a suspect driving a stolen Jeep Cheroke with the license plate CLMZ 905 who is considered armed and dangerous.
4:25 p.m. – An Emergency Alert – Active Shooter goes out across the region, warning residents the suspect, who is driving a stolen vehicle, is considered armed and dangerous. The alert identifies the suspect as 30-year-old Sean Petrie.

4:33 p.m.: Minutes later, Halton police say the suspect has been located and is in police custody. They confirm one person has been pronounced dead in Milton, later identified by friends and family as Shakeel Ashraf, the owner of the body shop MK Auto Repair. Two others were injured in the shooting.
5:45 p.m.: Hamilton police say the suspect has been shot and killed in Hamilton Cemetery after being pursued by Halton and Hamilton police officers.
6:05 p.m.: The Special Investigations Unit confirms they will be investigating the incident that occured in the cemetery.
8:00 p.m.: Toronto police Chief James Ramer confirms 48-year-old Const. Andrew Hong, was shot and killed in Mississauga while he was on his lunch break from a training exercise.
