Woman charged in July crash that killed 3 in Brock Township

Durham Regional Police have charged a 32-year-old woman after three people were killed in a head-on collision last summer in Brock Township.

Emergency crews responded to the crash on Lakeridge Road just north of Thorah Concession Road at around 11:20 a.m. on July 1, 2022.

Three people – two women and a man – were pronounced dead at the scene and two others, including a child, were seriously injured.

Police say after a lengthy investigation, they charged a 32-year-old Beaverton woman.

Brittany Russell-Rees is charged with careless driving causing death and careless driving causing bodily harm.
