Man, woman arrested after North York home invasion, robbery

Police have arrested two suspects following a violent home invasion and robbery in North York over the weekend.

Toronto police officers were called to a residence in the area of York Mills and Don Mills roads on Saturday for reports of suspicious incident.

Police allege a victim was inside their home when the doorbell rang several times. The victim opened the door to find a man and a woman outside.

The pair forced their way inside the home. Police say the man was armed with a screwdriver.

The suspects ransacked the home and then fled the area with the victim’s laptop.

On Tuesday, police arrested a man and a woman for an unrelated matter. Upon further investigation police learned the two suspects were involved in the home invasion.

Toronto police arrested Dominic McKay-Jones, 34, and Skye Robichaud-Miller, 23, and charged them with forcible entry. Both suspects are from Toronto.

The pair appeared in a Toronto courtroom on Wednesday morning.
