Toronto mayoral candidate ‘Chris Sky’ arrested for making death threats

Fringe Toronto mayoral candidate Chris Saccoccia, better known as Chris Sky, has been arrested for uttering death threats.
Saccoccia posted a video to social media early Tuesday morning where he claimed he was turning himself in to Toronto Police 53 Division.
“I’m going to turn myself in as requested,” he says in the video post. “I’ll message you guys when I get out.”
Police confirm to CityNews the 39-year-old surrendered shortly after he made the social media post. He has been charged with uttering death threats following an alleged incident earlier this month.
Police allege Saccoccia sent voice and text messages to another man on June 5 where he made death threats. The victim has not been identified.
Saccoccia was previously charged in 2021 with three counts of uttering death threats and assaulting a peace officer after he reportedly threatened to kill Ontario Premier Doug Ford, all of the other Canadian Premiers and the leader of the ‘Republican Party of Canada.’
He made a name for himself after organizing rallies against COVID-19 public health orders across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Saccoccia was schedule to appear in a Toronto courtroom on Tuesday morning.
