Woman critically injured, struck by vehicle in Etobicoke

A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke.

Toronto police were called to the Browns Line and Jellicoe Avenue area just before 4 p.m. on Friday.

Officers located a female victim with life-threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene.

A woman in her 20s was rushed to a trauma centre, police said.

Browns Line is closed from Lake Shore Blvd. to Owen Drive.

Road closures are expected to remain in place for a few hours.
