Subway service resumes after rush hour bomb threat investigation

Subway service has resumed on Line 1 Yonge-University after it was halted in the heart of rush hour for a bomb threat investigation on Tuesday.

Toronto police said reports of a bomb threat led to the evacuation of St. Patrick station.

Subway service was halted between St. Patrick and Union stations due to the incident, with trains turning back at St. Andrew and Spadina stations.

Following an investigation police said no bomb was found.

At around 6:30 p.m. the TTC announced that service had resumed.
