Man Dies In West-End Highrise Fire

A 51-year-old man is dead after a two-alarm fire in an Etobicoke highrise unit.

The blaze broke out just after 3:30pm Sunday on the 11th floor of a building on Richview Road, near Eglinton Ave. W. and Scarlett Rd. The victim was transported to hospital without vital signs. His name has not been released.

There’s no word yet on the cause.
