Young boy helps rescue father trapped in Markham well

A man in Markham who spent several hours overnight stuck in a well was rescued early Sunday morning thanks to his young son.
The man fell into the well around 10 p.m. Saturday at a property at Ninth Line and 14th Avenue.
York Region police say the man coaxed his young son, around five or six years old, to get help.
The boy tried to flag down passing cars but, after no one stopped, he eventually went to a nearby home to get help.
The father is now in hospital being treated for hypothermia and police expect him to make a full recovery.
