Victim Identified In Stabbing Outside Vaughan Nightclub

A 26-year-old Toronto man is dead after he and two others were knifed outside a nightclub in the northwest end, one of several stabbings in the GTA overnight.

Police say shortly after 3am Saturday, a fight started in the parking lot of Coconuts Lounge & Nightclub on Steeles Ave. W. at Keele St. in Vaughan.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found three men had been stabbed. The victims were rushed to Toronto-area hospitals, but one, Roger Samaroo, succumbed to his injuries. The other two Toronto men, aged 26 and 22, were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Witnesses say they last saw the suspects driving south on Keele St. from the nightclub parking lot.

York Regional Police want anyone who was at the club early Saturday or who has any information to call them at 1-866-287-5025 or 905 773-1221 ext. 7441. In a separate incident about an hour earlier, a man in his 30s was stabbed repeatedly in the torso while at a home on Vaughan Rd., near Dufferin St. and Eglinton Ave. W.

The man is in hospital in critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery.

Police are investigating and do not yet have a description of the suspect.

And just before midnight Friday, a 45-year-old man was stabbed, allegedly during an alcohol-fuelled argument with his neighbour on Kendleton Dr., near Kipling Ave. and Albion Rd.

He also underwent surgery and is in critical condition.

Police arrested a man at the scene and charged him with assault with a weapon. He was due in court Saturday morning.
