SARNIA, Ont. — Top NHL draft prospects Nail Yakupov and Alex Galchenyuk are expected to return to the Sarnia Sting’s lineup Friday when they open their first-round OHL playoff series against the Saginaw Spirit.

It will mark the first time this season that both players have suited up together in game.

Both 18-year-olds are projected to be top-10 picks in this year’s NHL Entry Draft in Pittsburgh.

Yakupov has been out of action since March 10 after suffering an upper body injury against the Owen Sound Attack. He had 31 goals and 38 assists in 42 games in the regular season.

Galchenyuk made his regular-season debut on March 14 and dressed for two games before suffering an upper body injury.

The Wisconsin-born centre, who finished the 2010-11 season with 31 goals and 83 points for Sarnia, missed most of the season after having knee surgery Oct. 27.
