Victim Nowhere To Be Found In Latest Shooting

A trio of weekend shootings was followed Monday by three more, including one outside an east end McDonald’s.
Police were called to the fast food restaurant at Pape and Cosburn Aves., near O’Connor Dr., just past 7pm. A teen had apparently been walking near the drive-thru when he was shot in the leg. The victim still hasn’t turned up in hospital.
Investigators believe the shooter may have taken off in a black Acura.
On the other end of the city, reports of a gun battle between two groups sent officers to Mount Olive Dr. near Kipling Ave. and Albion Rd.
It seems no one was hurt in the exchange, but one man was taken into custody.
Officers seized a sub-machine gun, a pistol, ammunition, and a stash of crack cocaine.
Renaldo Reid, 20, has been charged with numerous weapons and drug offences.
Earlier Monday, a man in his 30s was shot in the left leg near Runnymede Rd. and Annette St. at about 3:30am. The victim managed to make his way to hospital, but investigators said he wasn’t being very helpful.
