Excuse me ocifer.
Apparently, ‘do as I say, not as I do’ is the motto of the commander of Utah’s drunk driving unit.
Lieut. Fred Swain has been cited for driving under the influence in Draper after he hit the barrier that separates lanes, authorities say.
Swain claims he fell asleep at the wheel but officers suspected he’d been drinking. He initially refused to take a breathalyzer test until unit patrol captains had a talk with him, Sgt. Scott Peck says.
The test showed he had a blood-alcohol level of nearly 0.12 percent, according to authorities – Utah’s limit is 0.08 percent.
The officer has been placed on administrative leave with the patrol investigates.
Hopefully it wasn’t a cruiser he was caught in.
