Paris Hilton Bitten By Her Exotic Pet

The hotel heiress-turned-actress-turned-singer made a trip to the emergency room this week after she was bitten by her pet kinkajou Baby Luv.

Her publicist Elliot Mintz said Hilton went to hospital after the Luv bite to receive a tetanus shot, adding that she wasn’t badly injured.

“Baby Luv bit her. It’s a superficial bite on her left arm,” he said.

“She was seen by a doctor, who treated the wound, gave her a tetanus shot, cleaned the wound and applied something to it.”

Hilton was playing with her pet – a raccoon-like nocturnal rainforest mammal – around 3am Tuesday when it apparently became agitated and bit her. The 25-year-old socialite then called her publicist who took her to the hospital.

Baby Luv was also checked over by a veterinarian.

“I don’t view kinkajous as aggressive animals. The same kind of thing could have occurred with a German Shepherd,” Mintz said.

Despite the bite, Hilton felt well enough to continue attending events to publicize her debut album “Paris”, which is set to be released Aug. 22. Her first single “Stars Are Blind” has already made some progress on Billboard’s dance music charts.

While the heiress has many fans, she annoys many others and it appears that may apply to members of the animal kingdom too.
