Thousands of people lined the streets to take in a parade of porn actors and the crowd was reportedly bigger than the turnout for the city’s annual Santa Claus parade.
About two-dozen bare breasted “actresses” made their way along the parade route on motorcycles.
The city’s conservative politicians strongly opposed the parade and Mayor Dick Hubbard says he’ll review local bylaws in an effort to prevent any more topless events.
The parade was held to publicize an erotica show in Auckland that opens this week.
This is probably the only public event where parade officials had to check I.D.s.
