Perhaps the expression ‘when pigs fly’ should be changed to ‘when dogs drive.’
‘Man’s best friend’ won’t be getting a licence – especially after a Chinese woman crashed her car while allowing her pet to get behind the wheel.
No injuries were reported in the doggie driving lesson, but there was damage to both the woman’s car and the one she crashed into.
According to reports the woman, identified only by her surname, Li, said her dog “was fond of crouching on the steering wheel and often watched her drive.”
For that reason, “she thought she would let the dog ‘have a try’ while she operated the accelerator and brake” the report said. It was only moments before the pair crashed into an oncoming car.
Li paid for the repairs – and promised to keep her puppy in the passenger seat from now on.
