Veteran Firefighter Facing Child Porn Charges

A raid in the east-end Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a veteran Toronto firefighter. Forty-five-year-old Scott Connor was charged with numerous offences, including making, possessing, and distributing child porn, after officers raided his residence in Scarborough and seized video cassettes and computers.
Connor has been a firefighter since 1987. He also faces weapons and drug charges.
“It’s alleged that the accused was involved in the distribution of child pornography since January 2006,” said Det. Janet Sobotka. “Officers also discovered a marijuana grow operation and a 12 gauge shotgun in the house.”
Connor is to appear for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
