Park Place

A Florida woman has learned that the word ‘reserved’ doesn’t necessarily mean for her.

When Judge Stanley Mills arrived at work Monday at the New Port Richey courthouse he found Nicole Delameter’s car parked in his parking spot. Instead of choosing another spot in the lot he pulled in behind her car and parked it, blocking her in, and forced her to sit and wait in his courtroom until he was ready to leave.

Delameter said she thought the “reserved” sign meant the spot was reserved for people going into court. She ended up waiting for three hours in court – even though she was only there to drop off her sister for a boyfriend’s hearing. Delameter later said she was “very very sorry.”

Judge Mills, meanwhile, said there were two perks to his job – his bathroom and his parking spot – and said he didn’t plan to share either with others.

Guess Delameter won’t be using the ‘reserved’ bathroom anytime soon.
