A 23-year-old man has been killed after his motorcycle crashed Wednesday night near the Toronto Zoo. Police contend he crashed into a guardrail after failing to negotiate a turn and was thrown off the bike, hitting a tree before landing in a nearby ravine.
Emergency crews were called to the scene after a passer-by spotted the bike near Old Finch Ave. and Reesor Rd. EMS workers had to search the nearby brush in order to locate the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
It appears no other vehicles were involved in the fatal accident.
The deceased hasn’t been identified pending notification of next of kin. Anyone who may have seen the collision is asked to call Toronto Police Traffic Services at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
