Panthers Beat Leafs In Florida

Ed Belfour got the best of his old teammates, stopping 23 shots to lead the Florida Panthers to a 4-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night.
Belfour, who was Toronto’s starting goalie for three seasons, looked sharp against the Buds, carrying a shutout into the third period.
Rostislav Olesz and Olli Jokinen both scored in the first period to help snap Toronto’s three-game winning streak.
Kwiatkowski scored on a breakaway and Chris Gratton added an empty-net goal to complete the damage.
Jean-Sebastien Aubin got the start for Toronto, losing his first game since joining the team in March.
Despite the loss he played well, stopping 39 shots on the night.
Bryan McCabe and Mats Sundin had the goals for Toronto.
