And this one took them thousands of kilometres to track down.
Detectives believe they have evidence to accuse a 67-year-old B.C. man with sexually assaulting two young children in the Toronto area during the 1970s.
Police have charged Bill Lee of Surrey, B.C. with five counts of indecent assault and two counts of buggery for the crime that took place nearly three decades ago.
He was arrested out west and will be at the College Park Courts on Wednesday for his first appearance before a judge.
Lee was the executive director of the Metis Family Services, which means he would have come into contact with many children. And that’s why officials fear there could be other victims.
If you know anything regarding his activities over the last few decades, call (416) 808-5105, or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS (8477).
