Rollover Causes Road Closure Near Highways 404 and 407

The ramp from southbound Highway 404 to the 407 was shut down for several hours after the vehicle crashed at about 6:45am.
It’s unclear what caused the mishap but one person with minor injuries was taken to hospital.
“Looks like we have a tractor trailer travelling northbound 404, exited on to the ramp heading westbound 407 and for some reason he lost control of the vehicle,” said an OPP officer on the scene. “It flipped on its side and it came right across and hit the embankment head on.”
The northbound ramp from the 404 also had to be closed temporarily to allow emergency workers to reach the scene.
The truck was reportedly carrying a load of iPods, likely destined to be Christmas presents.
