Kylie Minogue Makes UK Comeback

The sultry singer played to some 12,000 British fans at Wembley Arena Sunday, which marked the start of the UK portion of her Showgirl Homecoming tour. Tickets for the show sold out in 40 minutes.

The concert kicked off around 8pm and wrapped up just as the clock struck midnight. Thousands of her fans continued the celebration after the show ended on the 3,500-person capacity dancefloor specially built so revellers could keep partying until 1am.

The singer has no North American dates scheduled for this tour.

Minogue’s fans in Sydney were the first to see her hit the stage after her breast cancer treatments in a series of shows that kicked off her tour in mid-November.

Her record company, Parlophone, reportedly said she’s working on material that could be released in 2007.
