Raptors Rally To Beat Hornets

The Toronto Raptors trailed by as many as 15 points and played one of their sloppiest games of the season but still managed to rally and beat the New Orleans Hornets 90-88 on Wednesday night.

Chris Bosh scored 35 points to the lead the way while Jose Calderon added 14 points to help Toronto improve to 21-22 and 3-1 on their current five-game homestand.

Bosh scored the game-tying three-pointer with 61 seconds left and later hit two free throws with 13-point-eight seconds remaining to give the Raptors the lead.

“Last year we probably would have got down by 20 and put our heads down, and that’s a wrap,” Bosh said.

“That’s the thing I like about this team, we keep our eyes on the prize. We try to win games, and we believe we’re going to win.”

Anthony Parker had a career-high nine rebounds.

Rasual Butler had 19 points to top the Hornets, who looked to be in control of the game before inexplicably falling apart late and letting the Raptors rally to win.

Toronto never led until the final 28 seconds of the game and were missing T.J. Ford with a sore right ankle and Rookie Andrea Bargnani who sat out with a touch of the flu.
