Raptors Have New Outlook

Last year, the Toronto Raptors likely would have crumbled under the pressure, and ultimately walked off the court with their heads hanging low.

But this year’s version of the team has a seemingly unshakable resolve, and it was on full display Tuesday night when they battled back to earn a gutsy win over the Chicago Bulls.

Despite letting a sizeable lead slip away, the Raptors dug deep and Chris Bosh once again put his leadership skills on display when he coolly sunk two free throws in the dying seconds.

In the end, the victory was indicative of a new outlook.

“This shows how this team has turned it around,” Bosh said. “Despite the breakdown at the end, we stood strong and still got out of here with a victory.”

Coach Sam Mitchell has seen the difference a year can make.

“We’re a better basketball team. I think the record says that,” Mitchell said. “We have a lot of guys who can make plays.”

The Raptors have now won nine of their last 11 games.
