Bucks Get The Best Of Raptors At A.C.C.

The red hot Raptors looked considerably colder on Friday night after falling 94-81 to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Air Canada Centre.

The Raptors went into the game coming off one of their most impressive wins, a 106-90 domination in Houston, but they looked uninspired against the Bucks and subsequently watched their lead in the Atlantic Division slip to 3 ½ game over New Jersey.

Michael Redd led all scorers with 21 points and Andrew Bogut added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.

“We needed it bad,” Redd said.

“We knew that if we could get them on their heels in the fourth quarter we might have an opportunity to win on the road,” he added. “That confidence helped us pull it out in the end.”

Raptors coach Sam Mitchell was unimpressed.

“They just beat us, we didn’t make shots,” Mitchell said. “Twenty-eight (field goals made) or whatever — it’s probably the worst shooting night we’ve had all year.”

His players weren’t about to argue.

“Instead of penetrating in the zone and finding guys, we settled for the jump shot,” said Morris Peterson. “Sometimes you live by the jump shot, you die by the jump shot.”
