Celtics Handle Raptors

The Toronto Raptors endured an ill-fated outing against the Boston Celtics on Monday night, losing the game 95-87, and Jorge Garbajosa to a gruesome injury.

Garbajosa left the game on a stretcher with just 4:31 left in the fourth after falling awkwardly on his left leg while trying to block a dunk.   Players who viewed the injury grimaced and turned away in disgust at the sight of his twisted limb.   There’s no word yet on the extent of his injury, but it appeared to be season-ending.

Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 23 points and Al Jefferson added 22 points and nine rebounds to help snap a three-game losing skid.

Despite owning a league-worst 10-25 record at home, the Celtics seemed to easily handle Toronto .

T.J. Ford scored 28 points and Anthony Parker added 16 points for the Raptors, while Chris Bosh struggled scoring 15 on 5-of-19 shooting.
