Shooting In East York
Police are searching for two suspects following a shooting Tuesday night in the area of Don Mills Rd. and Eglinton Ave.
The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was shot as he tried to elude a gang chasing him from a nearby school’s parking lot.
He was struck once in the chest, and the wound is described as serious.
Officers believe the shooter may have fled to a nearby highrise apartment. They’re reportedly looking for two individuals in connection with the attack.
Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries In Crash
A Mississauga man sustained head injuries and two broken legs when he was hit by a car at about 10pm Tuesday.
He was reportedly crossing Hurontario, north of Eglinton, when the vehicle hit him. The man was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital following the crash. According to Peel Regional Police, no charges will be laid against the driver.
Teen Facing Charges In Connection With Pursuit
A police chase ended without any injuries in Scarborough early Wednesday, but a 15-year-old suspect will reportedly face several charges in connection with the incident.
Police say the vehicle the teen – who’s not legal driving age – was allegedly driving was taken without consent. It apparently stayed below the speed limit as officers pursued it. The car apparently struck at least two cop cars before it came to a stop.
