Man Arrested After Scuffle With Police

What started as a mischief call turned into something more serious for police officers early Monday.
Cops rolled to the area of Dundas and Mutual Sts. at about midnight for a mischief call. They took a suspect into custody and put him into the back of a cruiser.
Normally it would have ended there, but the arrest took a more serious turn when one of the cruiser’s back windows was kicked out.
Officers then apparently tried to remove the suspect from the now-damaged car, and one suffered a sprained ankle in the altercation.
The suspect now faces charges of mischief and assaulting a police officer.
