Tori Spelling Says Feud With Her Mom Is Over

Tori Spelling, who recently gave birth to her first child, says she began reconciling with her mother, Candy, in the last weeks of her pregnancy.

“It was mutual,” the 33-year-old actress told an entertainment magazine. “We both reached out at the same time by phone in the weeks before I had Liam.”

Their nine-month estrangement was plastered all over the tabloids, with mother and daughter sitting apart during a tribute to famed TV producer Aaron Spelling at the Emmy Awards last August.

Aaron who produced hit shows such as “Beverly Hills, 90210,” died last June at 83 after suffering a stroke.

Other shows he created include “Charlie’s Angels” and “Dynasty.”

Candy was in the delivery room when Tori gave birth to six-pound, six-ounce Liam Aaron McDermott at a Los Angeles hospital last month.

“When she walked through that hospital door when I was in labour, it was like I had just seen her yesterday,” said Tori.

“We both started to cry and hug, and I said, `I love you, Mommy,’ and she said, `I love you.’ That was it. I wish my dad got to see it, but I think he is looking down on us.”

When asked what led mother and daughter to set aside their differences explained there was never any real tension between them.

“After reading so many stories, I think we both thought, `Does she hate me? Did I do something?’ We were both scared to reach out to each other. Now that we’re together, we realize that there is no feud” she said.  “There’s an empty spot in your heart when family is missing from your life.”

Tori and her husband Dean McDermott star in the reality series “Tori & Dean: Inn Love” which follows them around as they open their own bed and breakfast.
