The Toronto Blue Jays rode another brilliant pitching performance to a 2-1 victory on Wednesday night, as A.J. Burnett befuddled the Baltimore Orioles with a wicked arsenal of pitches.
Coming off the heels of rookie Jesse Litsch’s remarkable MLB debut, Burnett had an equally impressive stint on the mound, striking out 10 batters during a three-hit outing. The win completed a three-game sweep over the O’s.
Aaron Hill tied the game with an RBI single in the fourth and Troy Glaus banged in the winning run for the surging Jays, who have won five of their last six games.
