Cynthia Hunter spent nearly two months in jail for some drugs she never even had.
The mother was busted for stealing from a Brandon , Florida Wal-Mart, and deputies slapped some drug charges on her when they found a vial of yellow powder in her purse.
A field test for drugs suggested the substance was speed, but Hunter insisted it was merely dried cat pee for her son’s science project. Well, the far-fetched claim turned out to be true, and lab tests proved as much.
Hunter was sprung from jail, pleaded guilty to petty theft and a judge gave her time served.
No word on how her son did on that science project.
