Raptors Crush Carter’s Nets

The New Jersey Nets ousted the Toronto Raptors from the first round of last season’s playoffs, but on Friday night, there was no question who the better team was.  The Raptors dominated the Nets en route to a 106-69 victory that further bolstered their early confidence and helped them gain a measure of revenge over their hated rivals.

Andrea Bargnani continued to impress, scoring 21 points to power the purple dino’s offence.

Chris Bosh had 15 points and Juan Dixon added 14 for Toronto, while Jose Calderon, Carlos Delfino and Anthony Parker each had 10.

Richard Jefferson led the Nets with 27 points.  Jersey’s two biggest stars, Vince Carter and Jason Kidd were largely invisible. Carter scored a mere seven points while Kidd had two.
