Flyers Dominate Leafs

The Christmas hangover continued for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night when they were dominated 4-1 by the Philadelphia Flyers.

On Wednesday the Buds lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the New York Islanders after Jason Blake turned the puck over with just seconds left in the extra frame. In that game, they were right in the thick of things, but against the Flyers, it was a blowout.

Joffrey Lupul scored two goals and Marty Biron stopped 34 shots to help Philly snap a season-high six-game losing streak.

Jeff Carter and Danny Briere rounded out the scoring, and Randy Jones had two assists.

Captain Mats Sundin scored the lone Leafs goal.

Toronto has now dropped five of their last six games.
