Dan Ellenberg from sellwithdan.com talked about highlights and lowlights in the real estate market of 2007. “Well, certainly the year has, is ending as it started. With a lot of sales, a lot of people moving, continued confidence in the market. I think there were some questions at the beginning of 2007 whether this market was going to last throughout the year and in fact we’ve seen the largest price increases that we’ve seen in the last 10 years during 2007.”
Scott McLellan from Tridel commented on whether buyers or sellers came out on top in 2007. “I think buyers are [the winners]. I think people that have had the opportunity to purchase, make a buying decision and bought a condo that’s going to be built in a couple of years from now I think have done extremely well,” he explained. “I don’t know if there have been any losers quite frankly in the real estate market anywhere in Canada. I think that it’s been a very robust, strong and a very healthy market.”
