A television technician in French Polynesia puts a whole new spin on the phrase “falling asleep at the switch”.
The worker accidentally aired three minutes of a pornographic movie on the Tahiti Nui television network. If switching to the dirty movie wasn’t bad enough, the graphic scenes followed mid-afternoon religious programming on the station.
The man was reportedly taping a satellite feed from Paris when he apparently got bored and decided to switch channels and watch some blue material. He didn’t notice that he’d started to record the wrong footage and television viewers got an unexpected surprise.
“It is funny, yes, but not really to us,” station general director Haupert Ives told Australian Associated Press.
The station employee was suspended for a week without pay.
Perhaps this guy should think about a job at the Playboy Channel.
