Detectives are trying to figure out what led to a serious stabbing Tuesday morning that sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.
The attack happened just after 8:30am at 190 Woolner Avenue, in the Jane and St. Clair area, police said.
Early reports indicate that a woman allegedly stabbed a male in the neck with a broken beer bottle. Both are in their 20s. The man was seriously hurt.
“A male was located with severe injuries to his neck area and he was transported to (hospital ) on emergency run. He’s the only person that we know of that’s injured at this time,” Det. Brad Fisher of Toronto Police 12 Division said. “There’s a female taken to hospital as a precaution.”
Detectives will be going door-to-door in the apartment complex to canvass for clues. While the circumstances surrounding the attack are still unclear, police believe this may be the result of a domestic dispute.
So far, no names have been released.
