Police Hope Surveillance Image Will Lead To Arrest In Robbery/Distraction Case

A curious case of robbery that utilized a bizarre distraction has caught the attention of Toronto Police.
It’s alleged that on Tuesday June 10 a woman withdrew cash from a bank in the area of Spadina and St. Clair West and was quickly approached by a man who threw a mysterious liquid at her and in the confusion that ensued, stole her cash and bolted.
The suspect’s described as:
- White,
- 45,
- 5’8″ – 5’10”,
- Heavy build, full face,
- 210 – 220 lbs.,
- Short black/grey hair, with a full beard and moustache
- Wearing a white cotton shirt, dark pants and carrying a shoulder bag.
Police are asking members of the public to remain aware of their surroundings, particularly when around banks and ATMs.
