Woman Found Dead On Sherbourne Was Stabbed

A woman found dead in the downtown core was stabbed, an autopsy revealed Monday.

Carolyn Connolly, 54, is Toronto’s 38th homicide victim of 2008. She was killed by a stab wound to the heart, and had other knife markings on her body.

A dog walker made the grisly discovery Saturday morning at the rear of 191 Sherbourne Street. She was identified at a press conference Sunday, and police revealed she was known to them.
