It was an intense storm Monday night, with lightning, thunder, and heavy rains, and in the aftermath GO Transit experienced delays to its morning schedule Tuesday, as well as some full-on cancellations.
The storm caused damage to signals along some of the lines GO uses, meaning significant wait times, notably on the Lakeshore East and West routes.
Maintenance crews were on site working to fix the problems but the slowdowns lasted for most of the rush hour.
Full service resumed just before 9am.
