Second Man Charged In GO Station Stabbing

The family of a man stabbed to death in 2007 is one step closer to obtaining justice.

On Saturday morning, police arrested their one outstanding suspect in the stabbing of father and community activist, Julian Hinckson. They charged 33-year-old Bruce Lewis, also known as “Fugee,” with second degree murder.

Just a week ago, Robert Sproule, 32, turned himself in to police and was also charged with second degree murder.

These latest developments come after a year and a half without any leads.

On June 5, 2007, Julian Hinckson – described by friends as a community activist and loving dad – was found stabbed to death near the tracks at the Cummer GO Station.

The night before, he had left his Finch and Leslie-area home to move his car but never returned.

While police aren’t sure why Hinckson was targeted, at the time they said his killing was not a random act.

Lewis is scheduled to appear in court on Sunday morning.
