An assault at the Sherbourne subway station Thursday morning left a TTC special constable with a broken leg. The injured officer was with his partner, keeping an eye on the morning rush into and out of the subway.
He suffered a torn Achilles tendon along with a broken leg and had to be wheeled out of the station. The two special constables tried to question a large man about his Metropass and when they found it was fake, their suspect allegedly lashed out.
Curtis Wilson faces multiple charges including assault, fraud and resisting arrest.
Ice May Have Caused Two TTC Streetcars To Collide
Cars weren’t the only vehicles affected by Wednesday’s heavy snowfall.
Officials say ice-covered rails may have caused a fender-bender between two Queen streetcars around 2:30am Thursday. One of the drivers was sent to hospital with back pains.
Man Slashed In Dispute In City’s East End
Detectives are looking into a dispute that left a man with a cut to the head early Thursday morning.
The man was wounded in a fight in an apartment on Eglinton Avenue East at Birchmount Road – directly across the street from 41 Division.
Police took three women, including at least one teen, into custody. There’s no word yet on charges.
