Japanther Highlights Brooklyn Bash At Wrongbar

Japanther is two guys from Brooklyn – Ian Vanek and Matt Reilly – well known for an intense love of old school hip-hop, girl groups, the Ramones and art fuzz pumped through vintage speakers and the rewired handsets of NYC payphones.
On Sunday night they teamed up with fellow Brooklynites Ninjasonik – whose art school irony is earning accolades in its own right – as well as long-standing locals Meligrove Band at Wrongbar.
Simply put, what resulted was an awesome show packed with sweaty, colliding bodies and a lot of singing along.
