TTC Driver, Passenger Hurt After Brick Thrown At Vehicle

A TTC driver and a passenger were hurt after a man threw a brick at the vehicle early Saturday morning.

It appears that a fare dispute sparked the violence on the eastbound streetcar. A man boarded the Gerrard St. streetcar at Yonge St. but got off at River St. just after midnight. That’s when the attack happened.

The projectile flew through the open driver-side window, striking both the operator and a rider. Luckily, their injuries are believed to be minor.

There was a security camera on board, but so far, no images have been released.

There’s no word yet on a suspect.
