Two-Alarm Blaze Damages Historic Cabbagetown Hotel

A two-alarm blaze Wednesday night caused damage to the roof a historic Toronto hotel.

Flames broke out at the Winchester Hotel in Cabbagetown around 10pm. The building, originally built in 1888, is located on Parliament Street north of Gerrard and was temporarily evacuated while flames licked from its top floor.

Fortunately, the fire was quickly knocked down, but there’s still no word on a cause.
