Attempted Abduction In City’s North End

Officers are warning of an attempted abduction in the city’s north end.
A mother and her four children were walking along Jane Street south of Finch Avenue on Sunday.
Just before 6pm, an unknown man allegedly tripped one of the youngsters. He then grabbed the girl and allegedly attempted to drag her away from her family.
But mom ran after him and snatched her child back. The suspect then fled on foot, heading north on Jane Street.
He’s described as:
- black
- approximately 50 – 55 years old
- long goatee
- 5’8” to 6’
- 170 – 200 lbs
He was wearing:
- black zip up dressy jacket
- blue denim jeans
- a green/yellow knitted hat.
