Peel police have made a fourth arrest in the death of a Brampton man after a home invasion last week.
Shortly after 1am on November 12th, officers responded to a home on Earth Star Trail, near Dixie Road and Bovaird Drive East. They found 38-year-old George Kalogerakis suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital, but died soon after.
The suspects fled in Kalogerakis’ black Nissan sedan, which was later found near Jane Street and Finch Avenue West.
In less than a week, detectives arrested three suspects, 18-year-old Isaac Kwakye, 21-year-old Shevon Bailey, and a 15 year-old male who, as a young offender, cannot be identified. All have been charged with first degree murder.
On Saturday, police announced they had arrested another man, 36-year-old Daniel Colacito, at his home in Thornhill. He was due to appear in court to face charges of first degree murder.
A fifth suspect is still at large – a 17-year-old who has been defying his family’s wishes to turn himself in.
