Attempted terrorist attack on U.S. airplane

The 300 passengers and crew on Northwest Airlines flight 253 describe a terrifying scene after a terrorist, who claims to have ties to Al Qaeda, tried to detonate an explosive device. Passengers say it looked like someone was on fire and one of the passengers is being hailed as a hero for stopping the terror suspect from setting off an explosive. U.S. Intelligence Officials say the explosive device was powder taped to the leg of the terror suspect and a syringe full of chemicals.
